I started Dirty Details in July of 2025, mainly because I saw a gap in the pole dancing world. Most classes (or at least the ones I have taken) are laser focused on achieving the trick and then if you don’t, it feels like… well, a little lack luster. When classes are fast paced, I feel it doesn’t give you enough time to be present in your body. It’s almost like you are focused on the external image of what it should look like. With the occasional “why doesn’t mine look like theirs?” Dirty Details is the antidote of that.

Let’s talk about it.

• Backstory 📚

  As a pole dancer of 5+ years, I have noticed that we are fixated on imagery. 🖼️ When taking a class, in the past I have found myself looking at other dancers, gauging to see where they are and comparing myself to them, thinking “if they can achieve it then why can’t I do it?”

  Nothing wrong with healthy comparison but when that comparison turns into judgement (and it often does) then your self-love and even confidence can tank. Looking at other dancers and admiring them is a beautiful thing. 💖

  The danger comes from, looking at other dancers and thinking less of yourself. Things like “I’m not that flexible” “I’m not strong enough to do that” “I suck at choreography”. That kind of dialogue or variations of it, stems from focusing on the external outcome of how something should look. That’s why I created the antidote, Dirty Details. 🌀

• The Shift🌀 ~ What Dirty Details does differently

  Every Dirty Details workshop, begins the same way: we slow down. Whether that's through meditation, visualization, yoga flows, or breathwork, the first thing we do is reconnect with our body and calm our nervous system. ❤️

  Why? Because when you take time to appreciate yourself something shifts. Energetically you’re moving away from a place of self-doubt or anxiety and stepping into a space where you can foster genuine confidence. And that confidence? Changes everything. Suddenly, the hard tricks don't feel impossible, they feel like possibilities .🌱

  Here is my disconnect with most classes: they focus on the external, offering a faster paced class, showing you a million different moves. The faster a class is, the fewer avenues of expression actually exist.

  In Dirty Details, we stay intentional.🧘 In this space, success doesn't look like a perfect climb or invert. Success looks like being expressive. It looks like feeling yourself move, not just seeing yourself move. It's the difference between constantly checking ourself in the mirror and knowing you look good because you can feel it. ✨🌀

• Why this matters beyond pole🌍

  Here's the thing — the way most of us have learned to move through pole class is the same way we've learned to move through life.🥀 Eyes outward.‍ ‍Measuring ourselves against the person next to us. Asking “why doesn't mine look like theirs?” before we've even given ourselves a chance to discover what ours looks like. 🧐🐛🦋

  That's not a “pole problem”. That's a self-love problem. And it's a problem that society makes really hard to overcome.

  We are constantly fed images of what things “should” look like 📸 — bodies, movement, success, beauty. And over time, we stop trusting our own perception. We stop asking “how does this feel?” and start asking “how does this look?”🪞

  Dirty Details is a step in the other direction.🌹

• Who This Is For? 🧘

  Dirty Details is for the pole dancer who's already got some tricks under their belt. You've taken a few classes.

  This is for someone who gets genuinely excited about the tiny details. The way a hand placement changes your entire line. The micro-movements that make your movement unmistakably yours.

  This is for you.🌀

  Now, here's what this isn't. If you're brand new to pole and you want to nail a trick in four weeks, this isn't your class.❌ If you thrive on fast-paced and high energy, if you prefer being pushed harder and faster, there are brilliant classes for that and maybe that’s a better fit for you. No judgment here! ❤️
